This is the Privacy Policy for Girlfriend Simulator ("the game", "the app"). It explains what personal data the game collects, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
About us
The game is made by Casual Player, an independent game developer based in India. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.
Please send all questions about this policy or your data to [email protected].
The game is a virtual companion game. You chat with an AI-powered character, customise her, explore her home and play through relationship stages.
Who can use the game
The game is for adults only. If you are under 18 you must not use it. It contains romantic themes, suggestive language, revealing outfits and references to alcohol. We do not intend to collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you know that data of someone under 18 has been shared with the game, please tell us and we will delete it.

What this policy covers
This policy covers the game and our website. The game may link to other apps, websites or services. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Personal data we collect about you
1. Information you give us
- Your name and her name. You choose these in the game. They are used in her replies.
- Your chat messages. Everything you type to her. You may choose to share personal or sensitive things in a chat. Please do not share passwords, payment details or other information you want to keep private.
- Choices you make, such as her personality, your character design, outfits and settings.
- Messages you send us, for example by email or the feedback form on our website.
2. Information created by the game
- Memories. The game picks out facts from your chats (for example "likes ramen") and saves them so she can remember you. You can see and delete these in the Memory screen.
- Progress. Your relationship stage, affection, tasks, coins, inventory and daily reward streak.
- Purchase information. When you buy something, Google Play processes the payment. We receive a purchase receipt or token so we can unlock what you bought. We never see your card details.
3. Information we collect automatically
- Player ID. The game has no login. Instead, it creates an anonymous Firebase account and uses an ID that comes from your device's unique identifier as your Player ID. It is how your saved data is linked to you. It is also shared with our analytics and crash-reporting tools.
- Install ID. A random ID stored on your device and sent to our chat servers with each request.
- Device and technical data. Device model, operating system, language, app version, IP address, general location such as country (worked out from your IP address), and network status.
- Advertising ID. The Google advertising ID of your device, used by ad networks, unless you have turned it off (see "Ads").
- Usage data. Screens opened, features used, purchases started, ad views and similar events, and how long you play.
- Crash reports. Technical details about crashes, together with your Player ID and device details.
4. Information from other sources
Google Play tells us about your purchases, and about your device where needed to run the game. Ad and analytics providers may give us summary statistics about how the game is used.
How the AI chat works
The replies you see are written by an AI model, not by a person. They can be wrong or unexpected.
- When you send a message, the game sends it, together with recent chat history, the memories she keeps, your name, her name and her personality settings, to our chat server. The server runs on Cloudflare Workers.
- Our chat server passes the request to OpenRouter, a service that runs AI models. OpenRouter sends it to the AI company that runs the model.
- To build her long-term memory, the game also sends parts of your conversation to our memory server, which uses OpenRouter and an AI model to pick out facts worth remembering.
- Our chat server keeps server logs that include your IP address and the latest message you sent. These logs are used to run the service and fix problems.
The AI model providers process your messages to produce a reply. Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy, which you can read on its website.
Your chat history and memories are also saved to your Player ID in Firebase (Google), so they can be restored. A copy is kept on your device too.
Voice features
- Her voice (text to speech). When you turn on her voice, the text of her reply is sent to our own voice server (
tts.casualplayer.net) and the audio is played back on your device. This feature is included with Premium, or unlocked for 24 hours by watching a rewarded ad. - Voice input (speech to text). If you tap the microphone, the game asks Android for permission to use it. Your speech is turned into text by your device's built-in speech recognition service. On most Android phones this is provided by Google, under Google's own privacy policy. The game receives the text, which is then treated like a message you typed. We do not record or store your voice.
Permissions the game asks for
- Microphone for voice input. You can refuse it and still play by typing.
- Notifications to show reminders from the game. You can turn them off in your device settings.
- Internet and network status because the game needs to be online.
- Advertising ID for the ad networks.
- Google Play billing to make purchases.
The game does not use your camera, your contacts, your photos or your precise location.
How we use your data
- To run the game: generate her replies, remember you, speak her replies, and save and restore your progress.
- To process and check purchases, and to unlock what you bought.
- To show ads to players who have not removed them.
- To understand how the game is used, and to improve it.
- To find and fix bugs and crashes, keep the service secure, and prevent abuse.
- To answer your emails and requests.
- To follow the law.
Legal basis for using personal data
Where the law of your country requires a legal basis, we rely on the following:
- To provide the game you asked for (performing our contract with you): chat, memory, voice, saving your progress and purchases.
- Our legitimate interests, when they are not outweighed by your rights: analytics, crash reports, security and preventing abuse.
- Your consent, where the law requires it: for example microphone access, notifications and, where applicable, advertising and analytics identifiers. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights and choices").
- Legal obligations, where we must keep or share data by law.
If you have questions about the legal basis for any use of your data, please contact us.
Who we share your personal data with
We share personal data with the service providers that help us run the game. Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy.
| Provider | What it does for the game |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Remote Config, Analytics, Crashlytics; Google Play billing, updates and reviews) | Saves your progress and chat copy, runs anonymous sign-in, settings, analytics and crash reports, and handles purchases |
| Unity (Unity Gaming Services, Unity Analytics, in-app purchasing) | Purchases and analytics |
| GameAnalytics | Game analytics, linked to your Player ID |
| Cloudflare | Runs our chat and memory servers and keeps their logs |
| OpenRouter and the AI model providers it uses | Write her replies and pick out memories |
| Our voice server, hosted on Google Cloud | Turns her replies into speech |
| Ad services: Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) and its ad networks, such as Mintegral, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads and Vungle (Liftoff) | Show and measure ads |
We may also need to share personal data with:
- professional advisors such as lawyers and accountants, who are bound by confidentiality;
- law enforcement agencies, courts and regulators, to comply with legal obligations;
- another party if the game or our business is sold, merged or restructured. In that case the new owner must protect your data in line with this policy.
If you would like more detail about who we share data with and why, please contact us.
Ads
The free version of the game shows ads, including rewarded ads that you can choose to watch. Ad networks may collect your advertising ID, IP address, device information and how you interact with ads, and may use them to choose and measure ads. If you buy Premium or Remove Ads, the game stops showing ads.
The game is for adults only. We tell the ad networks that the game is not directed at children.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android settings (usually under Privacy or Google → Ads).
Where your data is stored and international transfers
We are based in India, and our providers process data in other countries too, including the United States. Data may also be processed wherever an AI model provider runs its servers. Countries have different data protection laws.
Where the law requires it, we make sure transfers are protected, for example by using providers that offer legally approved standard data protection clauses, or another lawful transfer method. For more information, or to ask for a copy of the safeguards, please contact us.
Data retention
We keep the data linked to your Player ID (chat history, memories, progress, purchases and settings) for as long as you use the game, so that we can restore your game.
When you ask us to delete your data, we delete it, apart from information we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons. If some data is in a backup, we will store it securely and keep it away from any further use until it can be deleted. Server logs are kept for a limited time, and providers keep some data under their own retention rules. We may keep anonymous or summary statistics that can no longer be linked to you.
Your rights and choices
You generally have these rights, and you can usually use them free of charge:
- Access, correct, update or delete your personal data.
- Object to or restrict how we use your personal data, or ask for a copy of it to move elsewhere (portability).
- Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it, or processing that relies on another legal basis.
To use these rights, email [email protected] and please:
- include your User ID. Open the game's Settings and copy it. The game has no login or email address, so this is how we find your data. We may ask for extra details to check that the request is yours.
- tell us which right you want to use and what your request covers.
To delete your data, see our Data Deletion page.
Controls inside the game and your device:
- Delete any memory in the Memory screen, and erase your saved conversation with Clear chat in Settings.
- Turn off the microphone or notifications in your Android app settings.
- Reset or opt out of your advertising ID in your Android settings.
- Uninstalling the game removes the data stored on your device. It does not remove the data we keep on our servers, so please send us a request if you want that removed too.
Marketing
We do not send marketing emails or text messages. The game may show notifications on your device, which you can turn off at any time in your device settings.
Our website
Our website explains the game and hosts this policy. If you send us feedback through the website, your message and any contact details you enter are sent to us by email. The website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. This tool does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect anything that identifies you personally — only aggregate counts such as how many people visited a page. No cookie banner is needed for it.
Keeping your personal data secure
We use appropriate security measures to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed unlawfully, and we limit access to those who need it. No system is completely secure. We also have procedures for suspected data security breaches, and we will tell you and any regulator where we are legally required to.
How to complain
Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about how we use your information, and we will try to resolve them. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may change this policy from time to time, for example when the game changes. When we make significant changes we will take steps to inform you, for example in the game or on this page. The version date at the top shows when it was last updated.
How to contact us
You can contact us by email with any questions about this policy or the information we hold about you, to use a right under data protection law, or to make a complaint.
